Our Deaf Team: Empowerment Through Inclusion

At Masaka Farms, diversity is at the heart of our values. We are proud to employ a majority of Deaf individuals, along with a strong representation of women and other marginalized groups. This dedication has earned us prestigious accolades, including the Gold Seal for gender inclusion from UNHCR and the Rwanda Gender Monitoring Office, as well as multiple awards for being a leading Disability Advocate.

Why We Hire From the Deaf Community

We hire Deaf individuals at Masaka Farms because we deeply value their unique talents, which significantly contribute to our innovation, success, and commitment to excellence in the Rwandan business community. Their expertise in dairy processing ensures the consistent quality of our products. We are dedicated to their continuous development through advanced skills training, education, and workplace technologies, empowering them to thrive and further enhance our processes.

Local Farmers and Community Impact

We source milk from over 2,000 local farmers across the country, creating a meaningful impact on their livelihoods and communities. This partnership supports their economic well-being and helps to sustain and strengthen local agriculture, fostering growth and resilience in rural areas.

Deaf Development Fund

As a commercial enterprise, we invest to grow a profitable operating business that can continue to increase Deaf headcount. However, initiatives like language and ministry training, medical evaluation, etc., can be enhanced and accelerated through charitable contributions. If you have a heart for disabled communities and want to be a part of our pioneering new model for sustainable impact, we’d invite you to make a donation to our Deaf Development Fund at NCF.
